  • In Ribe, the watchman gives guided tours throughout the summer in the old city centre, where it is also possible to hear him sing the special watchman’s song by Danish hymn writer Thomas Kingo.
  • Like a small jewel, the island of Mandø in the wadden sea is located just south of Ribe. It is only possible to visit the island by riding on a small bus when the tides permit.
  • You can also experience the “black sun” near Ribe when droves of starlings fly in spectacular formations as a prelude to their annual trip to warmer lands.
